Volunteer with Golden Pantry & Thrift

At Golden Pantry & Thrift, volunteers are the heart of our mission. Whether you’re filling client orders in the food pantry, sorting donations in the thrift store, or lending a hand at community events, your time and talents make a direct impact on neighbors in need.

Ways to Get Involved

Pantry Support

• Help keep pantry shelves stocked
• Fill pantry orders and assist clients
• Ensure that food is distributed efficiently to those in need

Client Check-Ins

• Welcome clients and check them in upon arrival
• Take orders and ensure client information is up-to-date
• Provide a friendly and supportive atmosphere for everyone

Food Pick-Up

• Pick up food orders from local food partners
• Weigh and record food items, ensuring they meet safety standards
• Take food temperatures and unload deliveries

Retail Support

• Volunteer in our thrift store by sorting and pricing items
• Assist with cashiering and engaging customers
• Help maintain an organized, welcoming shopping experience

Special Events & Fundraisers

• Assist with community outreach efforts
• Support event setup, registration, and coordination
• Spread awareness about our mission and raise funds to help more families

Requirements for joining the Volunteer Program:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Submit a volunteer application
• Complete a Volunteer Interview
• Complete a background check
• Attend a new volunteer welcome orientation

All prospective ongoing volunteers must submit to and pass a criminal record and National Sex Offender (NSO) check prior to acceptance into the program.
